This painting comes from a body of work created in 2020 that focused on the tension between the beautiful and the unpleasant side of humanity. Through this body of work, I share my journey with loss of my father and the raw emotions that come with it. While loss looks different for every person, it is the one of the only experiences that every person in all of humanity can share. While grief can paralyze a person at times, it is also impermanent. This particular painting is a still life of the objects and memories left today that I have of my father.
